| What is it that you seek to fill the void in your lives? Is it money, power, fame, things you can gain from this world? . (James 3:14,16) "But if you harbor bitter envy and selfish ambition in your hearts, do not boast about it or deny the truth. For where you have envy and selfish ambition, there you find disorder and every evil practice." What type of person are you? Are you a giver or a taker? The takers in life seek riches, power, and glory for themselves. The givers in life are just the opposite, giving themselves to the benefit of others. I say to both the givers and the takers; if its not being done with the intent to glorify the LORD God, then both become an empty pursuit. If a person gives or takes, let it be for the love and glory of the LORD Jesus Christ. God created us for His glory, given this brief opportunity called life, to seek and find a treasure given freely to all whom seek it. Great treasure will be given to he who asks even with just a little faith. As it is written in (Matthew 17:20) "So Jesus said to them, "Assuredly, I say to you, if you have faith as a mustard seed, you will say to this mountain, Move from here to there, and it will move; and nothing will be impossible for you." Most people go through life giving and taking, thinking that the treasure of love, will just manifest itself from their own works and labors. They end up as empty and void as they were at the beginning of their quest, some not even realizing the truth and purpose of life. God puts in our hearts the innate desire to love and be loved. The ultimate purpose of life itself, glorifying the LORD Jesus Christ with the blessing of love He gives to those whom ask and seek the truth. (Luke 11:9-10) "So I say to you, ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. For everyone who asks receives; and he who seeks finds; and to him who knocks the door will be opened." Let me attest to this blessed promise from the LORD, as it has been fulfilled in my life, with my own wife. I once was a lost sheep like most of you. I worked hard to gain the pleasures and treasures of this world in vain. To no avail, I found my life full of problems and rich in stuff. In the midst of all my labors I realized how empty and unfulfilled my life was. I had plenty of possessions but did not posses love. In the pains of this realization I called out to the LORD to stop my suffering and pain. (Isaiah 55:6) "Seek the LORD while He may be found; call on Him while He is near." I tell you this, He heard me and my life changed. He set me on the proper path that I had strayed so far from, one of a fulfilling love that could have only come from Him. I asked the Lord for a woman to love me unconditionally. I gained this love only by His blessing and only by asking Him for this gift (my wife). I love the Lord with all my heart and He loves me more than I can ever understand, and I realize that I would never have known true love if He had not manifested it to me through my wife. I see His love for me through her everyday, and I thank the LORD for blessing me with her. (Thank you my LORD Jesus Christ for my wife.) I can only ask that you trust in the Lord, with just a little faith, and this true blessing will manifest in your lives as well. You all have the means but will you have the will is the question. Let me share a verse on seeking the LORDS truth: "Beloved, let us love one another, for love is of God; and everyone who loves is born of God and knows God. He who does not love does not know God, for God is love." (1 John 4:7-8) I say this to you, if your life is empty and your hearts heavy, call out to the LORD with all your heart, ask Him to give you love in your life, a love you never thought was possible. He will give you more than you ever could imagine. He will give you all that you need, even love. (Isaiah 41:17) "The poor and needy search for water, but there is none; their tongues are parched with thirst. But I the LORD will answer them; I, the God of Israel, will not forsake them." Your own works can not gain this unconditional love it is by His blessed grace are we given such a treasure in this life. Seek The Truth! "I love those who love Me, and those who seek Me find Me." (Proverbs 8:17) "Glory in His holy name; let the hearts of those who seek the LORD rejoice." (Psalm 105:3) PRAY! Thank You, LORD God! You opened my eyes to see Your righteousness and raised me out of my sin to a new life full of love. Without You LORD, I would be blind and a servant to sin. But Your love changed my life from the ground up. On my own, I will never be righteous. Certainly You could never love me for my deeds. Yet in Your generous love, You cared for me in my ignorance. Help me LORD to spread love to others and be merciful as You have been to me. |
